IT'S THAT TIME! YIKES!

It's POTTY time!
Mason is showing signs of needing to be potty trained. He realizes when he's about to go and then runs and hides so that he "goes" in private. We bought him a potty but he wont sit on so we're not sure how that's going to work. I'm really nervous about this part of child raising. If anyone has advice please HELP!!!!! I'm open to ANY and ALL suggestions. Wish us luck!

Happy Birthday Mason!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E
That's right we had a mickey mouse clubhouse themed birthday party for Mason's 2nd birthday! Mason is a little obsessed with Mickey Mouse right now and had a blast watching us put everything up and make the cake! He was running everywhere! But not quite as much as when everyone got here. He thought it was prety cool that everyone came over to his house to play with him. He was in seventh heaven!
I can't believe that he's already two! It's going too fast and the sad thing is that I know that i have to just hang on 'cause it seems to be going by faster each day!
Here's his specs and pictures of the party!! Wish everyone could have been here to celebrate!
Height: 37 inches--95%
Weight: 32 pounds--90%

A fun and happy halloween!

The Pumpkin Bread Duo!
This Halloween was Ethan very first one and Mason's official first. Since we weren't able to do anything last year due to a family death Mason got to celebrate his first Halloween! He was loving it. At first when we were getting ready and people were coming to the door Mason would actually get mad at us for giving away "his" candy but then he figured out that if he helped hand it out he could get a piece for himself for his bag so then that's all he wanted to do. After a while though he noticed that people were walking from house to house and so then all he wanted to do was "go,go!" So we went out to a few houses (he only had patience for like 6) and then went and trick-or-treated Grandma & Grandpa Howarth's house. He thought he was pretty cool. By the time we got to the last house he was knocking on the door saying "knock, knock" and then trying to walk in! It was fun. Ethan didn't really know what was going on. He passed out by about the 2nd house and slept in Daddy's arms the rest of the time. I think he was enjoying the cool air 'cause his costume was quite warm. Mason was a pumpkin and Ethan was a Wonder Bread Sack.

Pumpkin Picking!

We went out last weekend and picked pumpkins. Mason had a blast again and Ethan wasn't quite sure what to think. All he knew was that he was cold. He wasn't always the happiest but enjoyed himself as best he could. Mason had fun "petting" all the pumpkins and walking through the patch. The farm also had tons of different animals like peacocks, ducks, geese, puppies, pigs, turkeys, pigeons, chickens, roosters, and then old trucks and tractors. Mason was in seventh heaven with them all! You'll see in the pictures.

Ethan Samuel

Ethan turned 3 months old last Friday and had a little weight and height measurement by a nurse yesterday. Here are his stats!
Height: 25 inches!! (75%)He grew 2 inches in a month!!!!!!!!
Weight: 13.8 oz. (50%) He hasn't put on much weight but he eats like a pig!
Proportionately he's down in the 25% so he's a little tall for his weight or a little small for his height whichever one you want to look at.
We got some professional pictures taken of him and Mason. Here is a few of the shots. Enjoy!!

CAMPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend Bryan and G-Pa Dean took Mason on his first camping trip. Bryan said that they has so much fun!!!!!! He said that they spent most of their time trying to keep Mason out of all the mud and the fire but as long as Mason was enjoying himself he pretty much got to do anything he wanted.

He was obsessed with this stick. Wouldn't let it out of his sight.
He learned to shoot a BB gun. His new word is "shoot".

Our Trip to the ER

FIRST STITCHES!

We made our first trip to the ER (for an injury) last night. It was a scary experience for us all but we made it through. Mason was climbing on a chair and it tipped over backwards. His finger got pinched by the back of the chair. It sliced it pretty good. As you can tell by the picture. He got 4 stitches and hated every minute of it. To top it all off he's learned to milk for all it's worth! :) :)
After we got home I wasn't sure who was in worse shape though--- Mason or Mommy! :)
It was hard and scary but we made it through. He gets them removed in about 2 weeks and he'll most likely have a good scar but he's a boy right! Scars will be his life.

Ethan's 2 Months!

Ethan turns 2 months old today!
He had his check-up yesterday and is doing well. Here are his specs:
Height: 23 inches ---- 50%
Weight: 12 lbs 1.8 ozs. ---- 60%
Head Size: 151/2 inches ---- 40%

We did discover that he has a very special allergy. After about a month of finding the right formula for him we've discovered that he is allergic to the cow's protein found in breast milk and regular formula, like Mason was. But on top of that he is part of a special 20% who are allergic to soy protein as well! It's been fun. Lets just say we're special in having to get the hypoallergenic formula we're even more special 'cause it just happens to be most expensive formula on the market. Thankfully the state is willing to help us get it for him! We don't really care though-as long as he's happy and well. And he FINALLY is! He's finally started to smile and enjoy his little life. We've really enjoyed this past week of happiness. I think he's really enjoyed it also.
Unfortunately because he has this special allergy the doctor says that he will most likely have other allergies. So I have a feeling we're in for an adventure with this little guy. But he's so cute that it's all worth it. :)
Ethan had his first professional pictures taken yesterday and so we're really looking forward to those. I'll post them when I get them back. It's was fun dressing the boys alike and having their picture taken together! I really can't wait to see them.

Little Update

So Ethan is now a month old. Time has just flown. I thought it flew by fast with Mason but this month has been just like a blur. It's been great though. Mason went down to Utah with Bryan's parents for a week to see his Aunties and to give us some one on one time with the new baby. It was a great thing. Plus Mason got some much needed one on one time without having to compete. It was really good for him. They apparently had an absolute blast and he didn't have even the slightest of problems being away from us for that long. (I'm not exactly sure how to take that!) Ethan got to bond with Bryan well and that was good and then Ethan and I spent 4 days with my mom and just hanging out with her. So Ethan got to bond with her also. It was really good. I'm just glad that I've been able to be up and moving and a lot more active after this birth than I was with Mason.
Ethan is now over 9 lbs and loving every bit of his food! Go figure! We've had to move him to strictly bottles because of some medications for my Fibromyalsia come out through my milk and cause Ethan to be caulicy! It was not a pretty picture! It was a bummer to have to give up feeding him myself but I did a whole month and maybe by the time we have another there will be something better out there that wont be such a problem for breatfeeding.
Bryan is trying for the border patrol again in September-this time on the northern border. So hopefully this time it will pan out. He just turned 25 last Sunday and really enjoyed all his new golfing things and the actual golfing with my Dad last Monday. Everytime he plays he comes home wishing he could do it professionally. That's, unfortunally, as far as I can let it go.
Now that I've gotten back on some meds and into a good routine I'm thinking of finishing up my Accounting degree and getting that done this Winter. It'll be interesting.
Well we are just getting ready for Ethan's blessing this Sunday, Aug. 2nd. And then it's time for the Howarth family reunion! That'll be much fun! We're looking forward to seeing everyone! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry there are no pictures--they're still on the camera! I know that is no excuse but Mason's asleep for only a bit longer-I don't have time to get them off. So forgive me this time and I'll post more from the blessing and the reunion!

New Edition!!!!

Meet the newest member of our family!

Ethan Samuel Dean
Date: June 25, 2009 Time: 2:07 pm Length: 20.5 inches Weight: 7 lbs 11 ozs

Everything went well. It was a long labor, again, being about 26 1/2 hours. Just a little longer than Mason at 25 hours. My lot in life, I've decided, is to have long labors. It happens. This delivery went a lot better and much more smoothly than the last. Enjoy some pictures!

A couple of firsts!

Here are a couple of firsts for Mason!
For Memorial Day we went to Lake Samammish with Jeremy, Sina and Chloe and Mason got his first taste of some major water! We went to the ocean last summer but he was only about 8-9 months old and he didn't know what was going on. But this time he drug Bryan out to the water and we couldn't get him out of it. Jeremy and Sina rented a kayak for them and Chloe so we used it a couple of times and Bryan took Chloe and Mason out and they loved it! In the pictures he's wearing Chloe's old life jacket (that's why it's pink) and that was a life savor (thanks Jeremy and Sina) because all Mason wanted to do was go farther and farther out! :)
His next first was last night. We got Mason his first "bike". It's a tricycle but he was in seventh heaven! It was a nightmare trying to get it to the register and home without too much of a fit but we finally made it! It's funny 'cause he will only put his feet on the pedals-he refuses to try and scoot along with his feet on the ground but yet he's not quite coordinated or strong, not sure which, to push the pedals! So we have to push him everywhere-he's such a crazy kid!
Enjoy the pictures!

Our little Green Thumb!

MASON'S PLANTING SKILLS!
It's was such a beautiful day and it's going to be for the next few days so we thought we would get some plants to plant out front of the house. Mason had a lot of fun "helping" G-Pa Dean plant the flowers. We kept having to have him come back and back again 'cause his attention span wasn't very long but he had fun all the same.
