Batteries Not Included

Well for Mason batteries are like candy, apparently!
Yes, Mason has swallowed batteries.
I'm embarrassed to say so but it's the truth. Mason found a flashlight pen and unscrewed it and ate two of the small round watch like batteries. He was so honest about it to!
After he did so he states,
"Mommy! Mason ate batteries. Batteries in mouth, Mason ate them!"
And every time we ask him where the batteries are he promptly opens his mouth and points. He was quite proud of himself. Well at least until he found out we had to go to the doctors. Needless to say we spent most of the day in the ER yesterday getting X-Rays and making sure they weren't stuck. He was lucky that once they reached his stomach everything was fine. They just had to make sure they didn't get stuck in his airway or anything. I wish I would have been able to get a picture of it-it was quite funny looking. You see his ribs and all his bones and then a midst the black area that is his stomach there was two very vivid round dots! There was definitely no question about if he had swallowed them or not!
He is, luckily, just fine. I now get the fun job of checking his stools for the next week to make sure they come out but I think I'd rather do that then sit with him in the hospital while he has surgery to get them removed. I do have to remind myself of that since he has diarrhea but we're getting through it all.

Labor Day Boys Camp Out

This past 2 days Bryan and G-Pa Dean took Mason and Ethan out for their 2nd Annual "Labor Day Boys Camp Out" up at Ensign Ranch. The boys were able to get out and play in the dirt and enjoy the good out doors. They fed the horses carrots and Ethan even had a little pony ride. actually refused to get off (Mason refused to get on). Bryan said it was really funny. Bryan says that the most interesting event was when they were out flying their kite at one end of the huge pastor. The horses were at the other end and two of the new horses decided that they looked funny so they rounded up the other horses and started a stampede toward them all. Bryan had Ethan on his back in the pack and had to grab Mason by the arm and start running. He said they barley made it to the fence before the horses got to them. It was apparently quite and adrenaline rush. But other than that little scare the boys played hard and slept harder-as you can tell by the fact that they started and ended the trip the same way----ASLEEP! :)

Singing and Dancing!

I am not exactly sure how to explain this video other than it's fun. Ethan has started doing this spinning thing and singing at the same time. It's strange but hilarious! Yes Mason is singing (so am I so bare with me) and trying to help me videotape. I think that's enough said except that Ethan was spinning before we started video tapping and that I'm sorry it's not a very good picture. I'm not sure what happened there. Hope you all enjoy!

My Mason

My "Helping Hand"
While feeding Ethan this afternoon I noticed that Mason was really quiet down in his room so I decided that I should go and check on him. This is what I found.....

Mason turns to me and proundly says "Mommy!, Me clean up! See we use a powder on the carpet that helps pick up the dog hair and smell so Mason watches us and decided that when he found Daddy's foot powder that he would use it to clean. He was so inoccent looking that I couldn't help taking pictures of him and just smiling. It was a pain in the butt to clean up-good thing that he is cute or I don't know what I would have done.
I love my little "helper"!!!!

These are a couple of pictures from the shots that we had taken for Ethan's birthday. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I'm going to post the rest of them on my facebook page if you want to see the rest.

Here's to turning ONE.

BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Ethan with his cousins
Not really enjoying the hat-but obviously he enjoyed the cupcake!!
It was a barnyard theme. I had fun making these. Thanks to Ashley for all your help!
I'm so sorry that I didn't post these earlier. It was so much fun to see everyone and I'm so glad that everyone, that could, was able to come and celebrate Ethan's first birthday with us. Even if you weren't able to make it we knew you would if you could. Thanks to GMa and GPa Howarth for the use of their home and to Nana and GPa Dean for the food. Thank you everyone for the gifts-Ethan is enjoying his toys and surprisingly fitting into most of his new clothes. It was so much fun!
