Our Halloween

Sorry I'm a little slow about these pictures. It's been a crazy week. We had a very interesting Halloween this year. Ethan quite enjoyed this whole concept of showing up and people just gave him candy. He couldn't get enough-he is our little sweet tooth. It took us three days to get Mason to even put his costume on. After two bouts of a hysterical breakdown it finally dawned on me that maybe if I showed him some pictures of him the past couple years he'd understand. It worked like a charm and we couldn't get him to take his costume off!! He loved it and had a great time time telling everyone "Happy Halloween" (he refused to say "trick or treat")!! You got to love these boys!!! Oh for those who don't recognize them they are a couple of characters off of Playhouse Disney. They are from the show Imagination Movers. Mason is Mover Rich with his "scribble sticks" (drum sticks) and Ethan is Mover Dave but he refused to wear his red baseball hat. Enjoy the pictures.
We did the "trunk or treat" at the church on the Friday before Halloween. Mason made 4 rounds around to all the cars!
Mason's pumpkin. He actually took this picture himself!

These are my "Mover Boys" Mason is Mover Rich and Ethan is Mover Dave (without the hat).

2011 Family Reunion

Leavenworth, Washington
August 2011--here we come!
It has been decided, finally, that we will be spending the 3rd Bi-Annual Howarth Family Reunion in Leavenworth, Washington. Bryan and I are very excited to be able to have everyone together again! How about you? :) Here are some pictures of what to look forward to.

Batteries Not Included

Well for Mason batteries are like candy, apparently!
Yes, Mason has swallowed batteries.
I'm embarrassed to say so but it's the truth. Mason found a flashlight pen and unscrewed it and ate two of the small round watch like batteries. He was so honest about it to!
After he did so he states,
"Mommy! Mason ate batteries. Batteries in mouth, Mason ate them!"
And every time we ask him where the batteries are he promptly opens his mouth and points. He was quite proud of himself. Well at least until he found out we had to go to the doctors. Needless to say we spent most of the day in the ER yesterday getting X-Rays and making sure they weren't stuck. He was lucky that once they reached his stomach everything was fine. They just had to make sure they didn't get stuck in his airway or anything. I wish I would have been able to get a picture of it-it was quite funny looking. You see his ribs and all his bones and then a midst the black area that is his stomach there was two very vivid round dots! There was definitely no question about if he had swallowed them or not!
He is, luckily, just fine. I now get the fun job of checking his stools for the next week to make sure they come out but I think I'd rather do that then sit with him in the hospital while he has surgery to get them removed. I do have to remind myself of that since he has diarrhea but we're getting through it all.

Labor Day Boys Camp Out

This past 2 days Bryan and G-Pa Dean took Mason and Ethan out for their 2nd Annual "Labor Day Boys Camp Out" up at Ensign Ranch. The boys were able to get out and play in the dirt and enjoy the good out doors. They fed the horses carrots and Ethan even had a little pony ride. actually refused to get off (Mason refused to get on). Bryan said it was really funny. Bryan says that the most interesting event was when they were out flying their kite at one end of the huge pastor. The horses were at the other end and two of the new horses decided that they looked funny so they rounded up the other horses and started a stampede toward them all. Bryan had Ethan on his back in the pack and had to grab Mason by the arm and start running. He said they barley made it to the fence before the horses got to them. It was apparently quite and adrenaline rush. But other than that little scare the boys played hard and slept harder-as you can tell by the fact that they started and ended the trip the same way----ASLEEP! :)

Singing and Dancing!

I am not exactly sure how to explain this video other than it's fun. Ethan has started doing this spinning thing and singing at the same time. It's strange but hilarious! Yes Mason is singing (so am I so bare with me) and trying to help me videotape. I think that's enough said except that Ethan was spinning before we started video tapping and that I'm sorry it's not a very good picture. I'm not sure what happened there. Hope you all enjoy!

We went to G-Ma and G-Pa Howarth's house a couple weeks ago because this is what they had at their house! Mason wouldn't touch the controls but we couldn't get Ethan down. Thanks Uncle Jeremy for the rides!!!!!!!

My Mason

My "Helping Hand"
While feeding Ethan this afternoon I noticed that Mason was really quiet down in his room so I decided that I should go and check on him. This is what I found.....

Mason turns to me and proundly says "Mommy!, Me clean up! See we use a powder on the carpet that helps pick up the dog hair and smell so Mason watches us and decided that when he found Daddy's foot powder that he would use it to clean. He was so inoccent looking that I couldn't help taking pictures of him and just smiling. It was a pain in the butt to clean up-good thing that he is cute or I don't know what I would have done.
I love my little "helper"!!!!

Pictures

MY BOYS!!!!!!!
These are a couple of pictures from the shots that we had taken for Ethan's birthday. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I'm going to post the rest of them on my facebook page if you want to see the rest.

Here's to turning ONE.

BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Ethan with his cousins
Not really enjoying the hat-but obviously he enjoyed the cupcake!!
It was a barnyard theme. I had fun making these. Thanks to Ashley for all your help!
I'm so sorry that I didn't post these earlier. It was so much fun to see everyone and I'm so glad that everyone, that could, was able to come and celebrate Ethan's first birthday with us. Even if you weren't able to make it we knew you would if you could. Thanks to GMa and GPa Howarth for the use of their home and to Nana and GPa Dean for the food. Thank you everyone for the gifts-Ethan is enjoying his toys and surprisingly fitting into most of his new clothes. It was so much fun!

The Birthday Boy!!!!!!!!!!

I am ONE today!!!!!!
Ethan Samuel Dean is one year old today! It's crazy to think that a year has passed already but here we are!
He's doing great and really getting around everywhere. He's trying to start running-he thinks it's a fun game to run away from us-taught by big brother of course! :)
He's really tall for his age but right on with his weight so makes for a tall skinny, skinny boy. Lately we keep saying that he's looking more and more like his Uncle Jeremy.
He talks all the time and has started to take up "singing". He says "Da Da" and "Uh Oh" (sounds like "Uh No") and sometimes "Nana"
The following pictures aren't the greatest so I'll get more at the party on Sunday.
ENJOY!!!!!

It's Official!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND WE'RE OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was day number 1. Not to bad. A few accidents but once he decided that he didn't like peeing on himself he was set. We had a little set back after nap time due to the pull up and I think that the initial excitment and "coolness" had worn off.
He changed my plan for training in two ways. He doesn't fit on any "portable" potties so we couldn't just have a day of movies and drinks. So it was a day full of "Mommy! Pee Pee coming" and "Run Mason!" ;) And he REFUSES and I mean refuses to go around naked! He just won't do it! He has to have his "Handy Manny" or "Cars" underwear on and an under shirt. He won't go without either one. He's such a weird kid. I have a feeling that Ethan will be the streaker!
But when all was said and done the day was succesfull. We made it a successful 7 times and right before bath and bedtime we finally got him to poop! I was close to giving up twice but he's asleep now and it doesn't seem that bad anymore. Tomorrow is a whole new day and we are both exhausted so we'll see how it goes.
Wish us both luck!!!!!!!!!!
Nobody warned me about how tired I would be! :)

Two Total Boys!

THIS IS OUR DAY!!
The crew showed up around lunch time to fix the sidewalk and Mason has been sitting on his table watching them ever since. Ethan goes back and forth between the window and some toys but he usually ends up taking his toys up to the window to do both at the same time. I DEFINETLY have two boys who are MAJOR BOYS!!!!!!! The funny part was that Mason had to continue to update me about every two minutes on what was going on. He also kept tapping on the window and telling the guys what they needed to be doing. You gotta love hime!!!!!!!!
