Batteries Not Included

Well for Mason batteries are like candy, apparently!
Yes, Mason has swallowed batteries.
I'm embarrassed to say so but it's the truth. Mason found a flashlight pen and unscrewed it and ate two of the small round watch like batteries. He was so honest about it to!
After he did so he states,
"Mommy! Mason ate batteries. Batteries in mouth, Mason ate them!"
And every time we ask him where the batteries are he promptly opens his mouth and points. He was quite proud of himself. Well at least until he found out we had to go to the doctors. Needless to say we spent most of the day in the ER yesterday getting X-Rays and making sure they weren't stuck. He was lucky that once they reached his stomach everything was fine. They just had to make sure they didn't get stuck in his airway or anything. I wish I would have been able to get a picture of it-it was quite funny looking. You see his ribs and all his bones and then a midst the black area that is his stomach there was two very vivid round dots! There was definitely no question about if he had swallowed them or not!
He is, luckily, just fine. I now get the fun job of checking his stools for the next week to make sure they come out but I think I'd rather do that then sit with him in the hospital while he has surgery to get them removed. I do have to remind myself of that since he has diarrhea but we're getting through it all.

Labor Day Boys Camp Out

This past 2 days Bryan and G-Pa Dean took Mason and Ethan out for their 2nd Annual "Labor Day Boys Camp Out" up at Ensign Ranch. The boys were able to get out and play in the dirt and enjoy the good out doors. They fed the horses carrots and Ethan even had a little pony ride. actually refused to get off (Mason refused to get on). Bryan said it was really funny. Bryan says that the most interesting event was when they were out flying their kite at one end of the huge pastor. The horses were at the other end and two of the new horses decided that they looked funny so they rounded up the other horses and started a stampede toward them all. Bryan had Ethan on his back in the pack and had to grab Mason by the arm and start running. He said they barley made it to the fence before the horses got to them. It was apparently quite and adrenaline rush. But other than that little scare the boys played hard and slept harder-as you can tell by the fact that they started and ended the trip the same way----ASLEEP! :)
